Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is a Ghost Tour?

Our Tour is a guided outdoor walking tour which shares the ghost stories and history of reputed haunted sites as well as the paranormal investigations of those sites as conducted by the Southwest Ghost Hunter's Association. The Tour also includes photographs, videos and sound clips.

2. Will I see a ghost?

While it is impossible for anyone to guarantee the appearance of a ghost, things have happened on our Tours! Apparitions have appeared and objects have been moved in front of the Tour group…
Please remember that our Tour is taken at your own risk.

3. Can I take pictures?

Both digital and still photography is allowed and encouraged. Many guests have taken mysterious photos while on the Tour! Filming, video or audio recording is NOT allowed on the ghost tour of Santa Fe.

4. What is a "Ghost hunting Retreat"?

These are interactive endeavors that are a combination of a ghost tour and a ghost hunt, with presentations and other activities thrown in. They are usually over night stays at a haunted location which culminates in a ghost hunt of the property that you actually get to participate in. Your lodging and meals are often included in the admission price.

5. Are the stories really true or are they just made up?

Yes, all of the stories are true . However, some may be urban legend (if this is the case, we let you know that it is a legend or myth). We tell you what was told to us by the people who witnessed the phenomena and let you decide for yourself if the location is haunted or not.. For additional research, several of the Tour locations may be found in the case files from the Southwest Ghost Hunter's Association at www.SGHA.net

6. Will the Ghosts follow me home?

No. Ghosts tend to haunt either people, places or things. The Ghosts on our Tour seem to like the places they haunt and choose to stay there.

7. How do I find the Tour Guide ?

Our Guides wear an identifiable shirt with SGHA's logo printed on the front.
